but more importantly, of course, is my opinion.

As long as borders are easy to cross, all it really does is effectively forces the lower class out of the area, and into the neighboring one, as long as they too, do not have such a crazy minimum wage.

Although minimum wage also accompanies welfare and unemployment benefits for those who do not work.

So what will really happen, is that all the lower class but hard working people (the young, uneducated, the minorities) will leave, and the class differences will deepen, because those who won't or can't work will be the only ones left, that, and the upper class of people who are worth at least 15/hour.

What the average Seattleite will see is a increase in the number of people they like (bourgeois like themselves) and a starker, more pronounced kind of lower class (the truly destitute), which will only deepen their resolve, as the working middle class disappears from there area, and therefor from the public Zeitgeist.


As long as oil stays cheap, Minimum wage will be fine here, as we export our 'poor people' to China, and the Chinese government is strong enough to enslave *their* people.

Don't you fucking get it? The Chinese are our slaves, and the United States Government pays the oil companies to keep them that ay, because of the way the federal reserve works, and because of our minimum wage laws.

The only difference is in what you see. You don't have to see the slaves in YOUR back yard, somehow its okay now.

I support racial equality. Therefor I am against the minimum wage, and the federal reserve. I hope you will join me in ending the racial discrimination against those outside the capital nation.

People who are for the minimum wage have no idea the stress and frustration of owning a company, or the work involved, or, more importantly, the finances involved. If you think that business owners are money grubbing lazy people sucking the value from their workers, you are clearly a valueless worker who cannot increase his value by any other way but the use of violence.

here is no difference between a Mom and Pop business, and a 'corporation'. It is a legal status; what you hate, is the special benefits certain well-connected businesses receive over others, which does in fact, hurt the poor very much. I hate them too.

What you need to learn, is that you cannot use that very same government to "correct" the problems of those corporations being in bed with the government. It will not happen; unless it benefits those corporations. That's why minimum wage is pushed, because it sounds like a benefit.

Minimum wage is the most bumper sticker ideology there is. Its like, "oh, i feel bad for the poor, so lets have SOME ONE ELSE (because I'm not a fucking business owner) give them more money! I'm so enlightened and CHARITABLE (with other people's money)"

There is a very large difference between what you would like to see happen, and what is possible. In the real world, you ignore that difference at the danger of empowering those who are willing to literally sell you an impossible dream.

Utopianism has been dead for a while now. Its time to wake up and realize no amount of violence will bring us peace.

Have the Chinese buy U.S. bonds, raise the minimum wage in the United States, import products from China, and use the federal reserve to pay for indefinite unemployment benefits.

On the Illusion of the State

Consider for a moment; that the 'State' is not a real thing. Not real like your table, or your hat, or your house. It is just an idea. It is an agreement, between individual actors to act in a certain way, or according to certain rules. But this agreement, these rules, they also do not exist.

Perhaps they are written down somewhere, they exist as ink or as digital numbers, but really, that ink isn't anything serious either. It does not serve a function by its self. It requires thoughts. It requires understanding. It requires a concious, active, aware human brain to make a decision.

This human brain, makes mistakes, and more importantly, has its own aspirations and desires acting only for the purpose of furthering its own interests.

A truly alien perspective on this, would to ask why so much pomp and frills around the replication of DNA?

The answers of course lie within a mistaken belief that these illusions keep us safe some how, or that without them we would lose our humanity.

I'm not sure; I'm really not.

I mean, really, a judge is just a man who wears a dress and bangs a wooden mallet. Even worse, the so-called law-enforcers doing his bidding are just psychotic apes that have devices capable of lethally throwing metal around... for what?

For an idea in their head.

Perhaps in the days of the Khans, with roving barbarians, when war-fare was fought with steel, blood, and sweat, maybe then the State was an idea worth holding onto.

As I see it now, in this modern age with modern communicative abilities, it is a way to rob us of our humanity; the only apparatus capable of creating terrible, pointless weapons of mass destruction, and even worse, capable of senselessly unleashing those weapons upon human beings. Not for reasons of a single rational mind, but rather because of the kind of hodge podge decisions and outcomes that come naturally from group decision making.

Quick Comment to my New Friend Getting a Criminal Justice Degree

Please don't become a police officer. Dont join the military. Dont join the FBI. These are organizations where you will hurt innocent people.

I understand you may think it is an exciting job, or that the money is good, or that you are actually protecting people.

Please bare in mind that revenue generation =/= to protective services.

I dont think people realize how hurtful some of the things the State does... to others and to themselves. Before becoming an agent of the State, try to see the tragedies being committed by it. The world would be a much more peaceful place if agents of violence and coercion spent more time focusing on peace.

Show some integrity.

If you are voluntarily part of an organization that conducts its business via initiative violence, you are a part of the violence. It seems more likely to me that the real juvenile attitude is to show such deference to daddy State. I am embarrassed that members of my family are a part of the ignorance and violence. I forgive their violence because I know they are ignorant; I will not forgive the willful continuation of that ignorance. Again, revenue generation and mercenary work are not equivalent to protective services. WAKE UP!!!!

To be clear. I am certain that members of the State aggression forces endeavour to do good, however what is abundantly clear is that their actions in practice are devastatingly and consistently incongruous with their intent. Not learning from that experience and continuing to aggress fills me with quite a bit of anger. So they can all suck a cock. I wish they would quit their job with the violent gang, and find gainful, productive employment that does not include theft and violence. I call such productive professions "real" jobs.

Introduction

The Offensive Contrarian is a new blog I am starting as an outlet. The mission of this blog is to just lay it on the table. Whatever I may be thinking about (usually politics), especially the things that piss me off. Here I will give my honest and ernest opinion on them. More importantly, I will not be giving them on Facebook where everyone gets all pissy at me for saying 'mean' or 'hurtful' things.

Heads up:   I consider myself a Libertarian/Voluntaryist/Anarchist whatever you wanna call it, I have a natural distaste for the establishment; I would also consider myself part of the 'Skeptic' movement... You know, those guys who promote the scientific establishment...

I chose the name 'The Offensive Contrarian' because, at my core, I suppose that's what I am. An attention hungry loudmouth ass-hole who just loves to side with the under-dog and generally seems to love everything you fucking hate.

Here's to me posting here instead of my Facebook and somehow getting the same satisfaction of sharing something insightful/clever.
