Happyness

The only way to evaluate the meaning of life is to have a value by which to judge it. However, what is a 'value'? Why, a value is something which is important. What is important? Well, it's what I seek of course! And I seek happiness. But what is happiness? Happiness comes in many forms. Satisfaction with your accomplishments, pure pleasure of owning things, or experiencing sensations. It is different for each person.
Why? Why is each person different. Because we are all variants of the previous model. Why? Because a group as an organism is most effective (able to consume resources) when it produces variations which may be dominantly successful and improve (be able to consume even more resources) the group through speciation.
It is the non-random selection of random variations. Thats what evolution is. And it makes us all very similar, but also different. And out of that chaos, comes many orders, many species, many types of calculators. But one calculator is different in some way. The 'x' factor of yet one more variable into the mental process. That is the human species. We have a consciousness. One which asks 'why?' and one which requires an answer.
We fight wars. We kill one another; all trying to figure out 'why'. But 'why' is often just another way to ask 'what' and the 'what' is clear. The 'what', is happiness.
Happiness is the only point, and it is only achieved one way. Happiness is a trait evolved to reward and encourage. And like the species which beholds it, it is always similar, but every one a unique variation.
The key to happiness is to express the natural desires that derive from your genetic predisposition. The key to happiness is to follow your values. This is why coercion is wrong, because it is by definition again against your wishes, and is therefor against your happiness. It must be. Its all circular. Coercion is the definition of unhappiness, and unhappiness is the definition of coercion. Joy is the only true consent, and we all must be allowed to pursue our own joy and happiness. Each life is of infinite value, and all that matters is its ability to express its desires; and all that allows that is consent, and the only thing which can stop it, is coercion.
And this is why, I beg for peace, I beg for freedom. I beg for joy, for happiness, for every one. Every. Single. Individual.

Being a Fat Fat Fatty

Don't let them tell you who you are! If you hate the way you look, or the way you feel, don't add guilt on top of the guilt! Use that self-loathing to propel yourself forward. Never settle. Never give up. Never be satisfied!

Acquiescence is Death.

Keep on improving! Be who you want to be!

Don't feed into the bullshit. Looks matter. They matter a lot. We're told we are special and should be comfortable in our own skin and nothing matters; but it fucking does. Shit matters. YOU matter. FUCK the plebs who are happy with their pathetic peasant life and FUCK the bourgeois who look down their nose and tell you how special you are just the way you are.

Appearances are one of the limited ways to gain power, other than wealth and connections.

Between Lies and Hunger

I have been able to gain the things I want through having a full grasp, definition, and conviction of what it is that I want. It is so unfortunate that I have had to achieve such things through pure persistence whereas if I had some guile they would have been readily handed to me. I fear, however, that an aspect to commanding guile is to lose that part of you which knows what you are after; lost in your own fog of illusions.

There must be a combination that will work.

Becoming wealthy rarely works by depending on some grand single-source income opportunity. Rather, it is about making a consistent series of small choices to always maximize your income and savings. Staying that extra hour on the clock, eating at home instead of ordering in. Calling around instead of taking the first deal you find. All of these small things add up into a lifestyle which creates wealth.

I assure you, if you are waiting for your great money-making opportunity to come along, you will forever be poor.

Power in human society has little to do with the strength in your arms, or in your legs. It has to do with the strength of your will, and your resolve. That's the basis for the whole damn species. Think about it. No claws, weak little bellies exposed, hairless, bad backs. This is not a species of warriors and killers; it is a species of philosophers and builders.

Always an excuse

For those interested, here is an excerpt from my angry teen-ager days that I find still relevant. My parents would often say "why do you ..." in a rhetorical fashion, with what is now the obvious intent of pointing out that I am a delinquent. Being a child, I assumed they had at least as much integrity as myself, and would not ask a question to which they wanted an answer. When I would supply an answer, of course I was told "its always and excuse with you Caesar". In my angry teenage scribblings, this is what I wrote:

No. But always a reason, and always a discussion. Asshole.

If you make an accusation like 'you have intentionally done something wrong', it is most often a false statment. Bad actions are almost always a conflict of interests, or poor communication.
When you make false statements, it should not be surprising when you find your self being corrected. When you attempt to ascribe my motivations, or flat out fucking ask (e.g.'why are you so lazy?'), I will always have a goddamned asnwer, because, guess what fuck-tard; I don't always knee-jerk react blindly without thought or conscious effort. I have spent time in contemplation of what the fuck and I am doing, and why the fuck I do it!

I ALWAYS HAVE A MOTHER-FUCKING REASON FOR MY ACTIONS.

If what you want, if for me to treat you like a fucking imbicile and just nod along and IGNORE what you say, i can. But untill i completely lose respect for you and your human reasonaing capacity, i will always have an'excuse'.
Your communication problems are not my fault.
You prick.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

To me, Respect is being honest. Respect is not holding back. Respect is treating others as though they have the integrity and capacity to discuss issues and ideas like rational adults. I respect you. Not in the way you want me to, but in the way that allows me to continue to see you as a person capable of good.
Maybe you don't deserve my respect. Maybe, just maybe, you are too much of a child to discuss real and important issues using words and ideas. Maybe you want to run away scared and helpless; but I WILL NEVER FACILITATE IN YOUR LOSS OF INTEGRITY. and THAT, is the kindest thing I know.

When I die; its true, I may have burned so many bridges, offended so many people that very few people will show up to my funeral. But what do I care? I'll be fucking dead. I won't know either way.

Meanwhile, in my life, I am surrounded by people who are good, honest, and true; and as I die, I will know that I lived my life honestly and with integrity.

I respect myself and have built a belief system through hard work, study, and constant inquiry. I am comfortable with myself and who and what I am and have become. Its a good thing.

I wish for peace people. And I am willing to defend it (intellectually of course; I don't believe in violence :p), even if that means you are going to run away from me screaming about my lunacy.

Introduction

The Offensive Contrarian is a new blog I am starting as an outlet. The mission of this blog is to just lay it on the table. Whatever I may be thinking about (usually politics), especially the things that piss me off. Here I will give my honest and ernest opinion on them. More importantly, I will not be giving them on Facebook where everyone gets all pissy at me for saying 'mean' or 'hurtful' things.

Heads up:   I consider myself a Libertarian/Voluntaryist/Anarchist whatever you wanna call it, I have a natural distaste for the establishment; I would also consider myself part of the 'Skeptic' movement... You know, those guys who promote the scientific establishment...

I chose the name 'The Offensive Contrarian' because, at my core, I suppose that's what I am. An attention hungry loudmouth ass-hole who just loves to side with the under-dog and generally seems to love everything you fucking hate.

Here's to me posting here instead of my Facebook and somehow getting the same satisfaction of sharing something insightful/clever.
