Happyness

The only way to evaluate the meaning of life is to have a value by which to judge it. However, what is a 'value'? Why, a value is something which is important. What is important? Well, it's what I seek of course! And I seek happiness. But what is happiness? Happiness comes in many forms. Satisfaction with your accomplishments, pure pleasure of owning things, or experiencing sensations. It is different for each person.
Why? Why is each person different. Because we are all variants of the previous model. Why? Because a group as an organism is most effective (able to consume resources) when it produces variations which may be dominantly successful and improve (be able to consume even more resources) the group through speciation.
It is the non-random selection of random variations. Thats what evolution is. And it makes us all very similar, but also different. And out of that chaos, comes many orders, many species, many types of calculators. But one calculator is different in some way. The 'x' factor of yet one more variable into the mental process. That is the human species. We have a consciousness. One which asks 'why?' and one which requires an answer.
We fight wars. We kill one another; all trying to figure out 'why'. But 'why' is often just another way to ask 'what' and the 'what' is clear. The 'what', is happiness.
Happiness is the only point, and it is only achieved one way. Happiness is a trait evolved to reward and encourage. And like the species which beholds it, it is always similar, but every one a unique variation.
The key to happiness is to express the natural desires that derive from your genetic predisposition. The key to happiness is to follow your values. This is why coercion is wrong, because it is by definition again against your wishes, and is therefor against your happiness. It must be. Its all circular. Coercion is the definition of unhappiness, and unhappiness is the definition of coercion. Joy is the only true consent, and we all must be allowed to pursue our own joy and happiness. Each life is of infinite value, and all that matters is its ability to express its desires; and all that allows that is consent, and the only thing which can stop it, is coercion.
And this is why, I beg for peace, I beg for freedom. I beg for joy, for happiness, for every one. Every. Single. Individual.

Being a Fat Fat Fatty

Don't let them tell you who you are! If you hate the way you look, or the way you feel, don't add guilt on top of the guilt! Use that self-loathing to propel yourself forward. Never settle. Never give up. Never be satisfied!

Acquiescence is Death.

Keep on improving! Be who you want to be!

Don't feed into the bullshit. Looks matter. They matter a lot. We're told we are special and should be comfortable in our own skin and nothing matters; but it fucking does. Shit matters. YOU matter. FUCK the plebs who are happy with their pathetic peasant life and FUCK the bourgeois who look down their nose and tell you how special you are just the way you are.

Appearances are one of the limited ways to gain power, other than wealth and connections.

The 1%

The wealthy and powerful did not get to where they are by accident. They got there precisely by being able to take advantage of situations around them in order to benefit themselves. The poor are poor for exactly the opposite reason.

Tell me why it is that you think you can make a system that will turn that fact on its head?

It would seem to me, that if we somehow make the system bigger, and more grandiose with more power, somehow this will lead to those so skilled at taking advantage of things... having a larger and more grandiose power to take advantage of!

Minimum Wage

So, apparently the minimum wage is like, an issue.
Seattle raised theirs to $15!!
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/douglas-holtzeakin/the-mythology-of-the-mini_b_4338234.html

Rand Paul has the right idea

http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials-perspective/050714-700012-falling-middle-class-incomes-bigger-problem-than-minimum-wage.htm

but more importantly, of course, is my opinion.

As long as borders are easy to cross, all it really does is effectively forces the lower class out of the area, and into the neighboring one, as long as they too, do not have such a crazy minimum wage.

Although minimum wage also accompanies welfare and unemployment benefits for those who do not work.

So what will really happen, is that all the lower class but hard working people (the young, uneducated, the minorities) will leave, and the class differences will deepen, because those who won't or can't work will be the only ones left, that, and the upper class of people who are worth at least 15/hour.

What the average Seattleite will see is a increase in the number of people they like (bourgeois like themselves) and a starker, more pronounced kind of lower class (the truly destitute), which will only deepen their resolve, as the working middle class disappears from there area, and therefor from the public Zeitgeist.

As long as oil stays cheap, Minimum wage will be fine here, as we export our 'poor people' to China, and the Chinese government is strong enough to enslave *their* people.

Don't you fucking get it? The Chinese are our slaves, and the United States Government pays the oil companies to keep them that ay, because of the way the federal reserve works, and because of our minimum wage laws.

The only difference is in what you see. You don't have to see the slaves in YOUR back yard, somehow its okay now.

I support racial equality. Therefor I am against the minimum wage, and the federal reserve. I hope you will join me in ending the racial discrimination against those outside the capital nation.

People who are for the minimum wage have no idea the stress and frustration of owning a company, or the work involved, or, more importantly, the finances involved. If you think that business owners are money grubbing lazy people sucking the value from their workers, you are clearly a valueless worker who cannot increase his value by any other way but the use of violence.

here is no difference between a Mom and Pop business, and a 'corporation'. It is a legal status; what you hate, is the special benefits certain well-connected businesses receive over others, which does in fact, hurt the poor very much. I hate them too.

What you need to learn, is that you cannot use that very same government to "correct" the problems of those corporations being in bed with the government. It will not happen; unless it benefits those corporations. That's why minimum wage is pushed, because it sounds like a benefit.

Minimum wage is the most bumper sticker ideology there is. Its like, "oh, i feel bad for the poor, so lets have SOME ONE ELSE (because I'm not a fucking business owner) give them more money! I'm so enlightened and CHARITABLE (with other people's money)"

There is a very large difference between what you would like to see happen, and what is possible. In the real world, you ignore that difference at the danger of empowering those who are willing to literally sell you an impossible dream.

Utopianism has been dead for a while now. Its time to wake up and realize no amount of violence will bring us peace.

Have the Chinese buy U.S. bonds, raise the minimum wage in the United States, import products from China, and use the federal reserve to pay for indefinite unemployment benefits.

Kareem Abdul and Cliven

As a white, straight, man, I don't get, really ever, to play the "race" "gender" or "sexuality" card. Ever. My whole life I've been told "its terrible to have prejudices based on on race, gender or sexuality!" and I've also been told "because you are a white straight man you are going to oppress women, hold back blacks, and belittle the gays!"

....

you see that, don't you? read it again, if it doesn't seem obvious at first glance

....

the glaring contradiction may not equal, at all, even close to, what its like being told to go sit in the back of the bus... but at some point, telling me that my role in the struggle for "minority" rights is to practice tolerance so bad it hurts, (women are the statistical majority btw, never understood how they got considered part of minority rights...), it just gets... tiresome; and I do in fact, feel like I am the one trying to let the issue go, and treat people reciprocally to how it is they treat me. If that's not what not being a racist looks like, treating each person THE SAME, then I do not know.

It would appear, that as long as my gender, sex, and orientation of people statistically has more than the "minority" class, I should be bending backwards to.. what? Give an upper hand to "them" until "we" no longer are at a statistical disadvantage? I really, really, really don't get what I ought to be doing here; because I have thought long and hard about "right" and "wrong", and work my balls of to be the best, most moral mother-fucking sonovabitch that has ever been.

I assure you, in my case, that if you are a woman and I hate you, or if you are black and I hate you, or if you are gay and I hate you, it has nothing to do with anything other than the fact that you are a bad person.

Between Lies and Hunger

I have been able to gain the things I want through having a full grasp, definition, and conviction of what it is that I want. It is so unfortunate that I have had to achieve such things through pure persistence whereas if I had some guile they would have been readily handed to me. I fear, however, that an aspect to commanding guile is to lose that part of you which knows what you are after; lost in your own fog of illusions.

There must be a combination that will work.

Becoming wealthy rarely works by depending on some grand single-source income opportunity. Rather, it is about making a consistent series of small choices to always maximize your income and savings. Staying that extra hour on the clock, eating at home instead of ordering in. Calling around instead of taking the first deal you find. All of these small things add up into a lifestyle which creates wealth.

I assure you, if you are waiting for your great money-making opportunity to come along, you will forever be poor.

Power in human society has little to do with the strength in your arms, or in your legs. It has to do with the strength of your will, and your resolve. That's the basis for the whole damn species. Think about it. No claws, weak little bellies exposed, hairless, bad backs. This is not a species of warriors and killers; it is a species of philosophers and builders.

The Folly of Intent

Stop trying to assign meaning or intent to every action you see.

If you wish to attack the credibility of another, it is important that you yourself remain credible. Using logical fallacies is the quickest way to lose that credibility. I too think AJ is a DB, but only those agreeing with me already will appreciate such a comment, and those who do not, will only find themselves disagreeing with me more in the future.

It truly is important to stop thinking of others as your 'opponents', or viewing the grasp for knowledge as a conflict.

Competition is not necessarily conflict. My opposing views do not necessitate that we are enemies. This is the crux of the problem. Our natural human tendency is to view everything as a tribe mentality. This is why we have such a natural clumping factor built into our genes.
